Life at the House
More than a place to stay.
EvenGround is a home, not just a bed. We've thought about the everyday things that help people feel comfortable, cared for, and connected while they're here.
A Warm Welcome
Every resident moves into a furnished room and receives a welcome package with bedding, towels, hygiene items, and other essentials. During orientation, we'll walk you through the house, our guidelines, and what to expect during your stay.
Care That's Connected
We stay connected with residents' mental health providers, with appropriate permission, so support works together rather than in pieces. Our Residential Housing Manager helps coordinate house needs and connections to care and community resources.
Nursing Support Through Partnerships
We work with community nursing partners, including psychiatric nursing support, to help residents stay connected to appropriate care. When needed, our nursing partners can provide check-ins and help residents navigate health-related concerns.
These services are provided through partnerships rather than on-site nursing staff.
A Stocked Kitchen
We provide shared grocery staples to help make everyday meals a little easier. Residents can also purchase and prepare their own food according to their preferences and needs.
Help With the Practical Things
From accessing appointments and transportation resources to navigating identification documents, benefits applications, and everyday responsibilities, we help residents connect with the support they need.
Weekly House Meetings
A regular opportunity to check in, talk through shared-house needs, and make sure everyone has a voice in keeping the home welcoming and respectful.
Everyday Comforts
Residents have access to Wi-Fi throughout the home, along with bedding laundry service every two weeks.
A Space to Create
An art room where residents can explore creativity, unwind, and express themselves.
Room to Play
Rest and joy matter here. We make room for games, creativity, laughter, and simply enjoying life, because getting through a difficult season shouldn't mean losing the little things that make us smile.
Monthly Community Outings
Each month, we create opportunities for residents to get out, experience the community, and enjoy activities together.
Personal Care & Grooming Connections
Feeling good about yourself matters, too. We're building partnerships with local barbers, hairstylists, and personal care professionals to help residents access grooming and hygiene support.
These partnerships are developing; services are not guaranteed.
Who May Qualify
Is EvenGround right for you?
EvenGround provides temporary housing and community-based support for adults who are actively engaged in their mental health care.
Our program is designed for individuals who can live independently in a shared residential environment and benefit from a safe, supportive place while working toward their next steps.
EvenGround may be a good fit if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older.
- Are actively engaged in mental health care, such as attending a group or working with a mental health provider.
- Do not have current substance use concerns requiring treatment or monitoring.
- Can maintain a substance-free living environment.
- Can manage everyday living responsibilities, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
- Can safely participate in a shared residential environment without requiring inpatient or crisis-level care.
- Are willing to follow house guidelines, respect shared spaces, and participate in weekly house meetings.
- Have personal goals you're working toward, whether that's housing, employment, education, or another next step.
Important to Know
EvenGround is a mental health–connected residential support program, not a substance use treatment program.
We do not provide detoxification, substance use treatment, or specialized residential services for individuals who require that level of care.
During screening, we assess whether our program can appropriately meet each applicant's needs. A history of substance use alone does not automatically determine whether someone is eligible.
If someone requires services outside our program's scope, we can help identify more appropriate resources.

How Long You'll Stay
Time to find your footing.
Residents can stay for up to three months. During that time, we work alongside you to help you stay connected to care, access practical resources, and prepare for your next steps.
There's no cost to stay at EvenGround.
